Struggling with same sex attraction is a difficult road to walk. You probably face challenges with isolation, confusion, and questions about who you can trust. On the one hand, the world speaks a message of full acceptance, but that embrace means turning away from God who loves you. On the other hand, the church sometimes sends mixed, confusing messages about what the Bible says, and how we should respond.
But God’s Word is a lamp unto your feet, and he is not a God of confusion. He wants to give you clarity about your identity in Christ and your hope in the gospel. In this life, we will all face challenges with sin, temptation, and suffering; but Jesus has overcome the world, and promises to give you everything you need to seek first his Kingdom, as you set your hope fully on his return (1 Peter 1:13).
