Hiding My Same-Sex Attraction – Part 1

It’s hard to be honest with someone about your struggles.  We feel weak and shame in admitting that we don’t have everything together. But for those who live with same-sex attraction, the struggle to be open and honest with others in the church is far more intense and scary. Desmond talks about this intense fear, and how it hurts both the struggler and the church.

Desmond Frick has served as part of the men's ministry staff at Harvest USA. He focused on serving men struggling with same-sex attraction (SSA). He co-led an SSA support group, conducts one-on-one discipleship. He regularly spoke at churches around the country. Desmond has worked with those with addictions and those struggling with SSA for the past eight years. He has a BA in fine arts from Zurich University of the Arts, Zurich, Switzerland. Desmond does art in his free time. Originally from South Africa, he currently lives in North Philadelphia.
